Having already made 41 appearances in green and white, Saoirse Noonan is well accustomed to life as a Celtic player, despite still being in her first season with the Hoops. And with her opening campaign set to come to a close, although it has been a strong one from a personal point of view with 29 goals to her name, it has been a disappointing ending to another historic season. With just two games remaining, the Ghirls travel to Edinburgh on Wednesday evening as they play out the penultimate game of the campaign. Speaking to the press ahead of that trip to Meadowbank, Noonan reflected on what has been a difficult second half of the season. Th forward stressed the importance of learning and sticking with it though, as they aim to make a strong finish to the season in their final two games. She said: âObviously my first season being at the club, Iâve loved having so many games. I suppose in the past I havenât had as many games. âBeing involved has been brilliant. But I think this last half of the season has been extremely difficult. âThere have been days where we have to come in and try to pick ourselves up off the floor fairly fast. âWe understand the frustration because we are too. Of course, we want to go out and win games and make things right. âThe games have been coming at us thick and fast. So, itâs been tough. ‘But itâs about learning and sticking with it. We donât throw in the towel; I think that is what is most important for us right now.’ âWe have a good dressing room, and a lot of different characters and itâs just unfortunate we havenât got the best out of everyone at times,â Noonan continued. âBut I think it is a growing phase, and we do have to learn. We can use all the excuses we want, but at the end day we play for a big club. ‘We have to show up and I think itâs about making sure we do that, and we are all on the same page now.’ âWe want to finish off this season strong and build ourselves up going into next season.âFixturesHibernian Women Vs.
