From one away game to another, yesterday involved a 1,520-mile round trip, this Sunday it’s just a trip along the city to Ibrox but the Celts will be looking for the same winning outcome. Thursday night saw the Hoops defeat Bundesliga outfit, VfB Stuttgart and no sooner had they arrived back this afternoon and Sebastian Tounekti took up his media duties as the derby countdown gains momentum. He said: “I’m looking forward to playing the game, it’s big game “We played yesterday and we came just now from the airport, so today will be an easy day to do some ice baths and stuff like that. “And tomorrow we do training, then there will be the match on Sunday. “It’s a big game, it’s two teams who are good, but for us it’s all about going there and showing our best side and show that when we are playing the football we want, we can be really good. “We showed it yesterday, so hopefully we’ll do that and it will be a match where we can take all the points.” Tounekti missed the last derby meeting due to being on Africa Cup of Nations duty with Tunisia, but he did play in the 3-1 League Cup semi-final win over Rangers at Ibrox, but it is a game that he already knew about before joining the Hoops. He said: “The first thing I heard about was the derby. Everyone told me about the big games, but, of course, I already knew about it before I came here. ‘I think everyone knows about the game, it’s maybe one of the biggest matches in the world.’ “We know that it’s really important for ourselves and also for everyone around the club and we’re looking forward to it.” Watch the full Sebastian Tounekti interview below:More on the game: Martin O’Neill looking to emulate past derby wins at Ibrox:
