Stephen Welsh recalled from Motherwell

We can confirm that Stephen Welsh will return to Celtic after being recalled from his loan sell at Motherwell. The defender has spent the first the six months of the campaign at Fir Park, making 17 appearances in total for the Steelmen. Welsh has enjoyed a positive spell out on loan, playing a key role in Jens Berthel Askou’s side, who currently sit fourth place in the Scottish Premiership. The Celtic Academy graduate will now join up with Martin O’Neill’s squad ahead of Wednesday night’s match against Falkirk.
