I often credit the Church of Rome with my love of the early morn. Rising at daybreak is no hardship for me nor was it then – my brother and I rose cheerfully for years to serve mass at 7.30 of a morning. (Incidentally, it runs in the family since my parents were married at 7am only because there was no earlier mass).
