Celtic FC Foundation would like to express our thanks to all of Walfrid’s Wish donors who have contributed during 2022 and the beginning of 2023. Your regular donations have been crucial, as Celtic FC Foundation has continued to assist those most in need within our communities.

With the ongoing cost of living crisis continuing to put a strain on household budgets across the country, Celtic FC Foundation launched a new project on Monday, January 30 – ‘Paradise Pit Stop’ – and we’re delighted to confirm that funds raised via your generous Walfrid’s Wish contributions, will now help support this brand new project.

Through the Paradise Pit Stop, our doors here at Celtic Park will be open every Monday and Thursday night between 5pm-7pm for anyone who may wish to join us, with a free warm meal and a selection of hot and soft drinks available to enjoy in the comfort of our lounge.

Celtic FC Foundation’s Chief Executive, Tony Hamilton and Michael Nicholson, Chief Executive of Celtic Football Club, recently spoke of the importance of this initiative, saying:

“We recognise that many people are going through challenging times just now and that even being in employment doesn’t necessarily negate this. For many, it’s a struggle to pay the household bills with anything left over, so we really hope that people in and out of work who could benefit from coming along take the opportunity to do so.”
—Tony Hamilton

“The Club is delighted to support our Foundation’s activities in this area, as we continue to try to find ways to support people in need, in line with the ethos and founding principles of the Club. We hope that this project will make a positive difference in our community.”
—Michael Nicholson

One of the many member benefits available to Walfrid’s Wish donors is automatic entry into regular prize draws, with recent prizes having included match-day hospitality, Yosuke Ideguchi’s unique Famine Memorial shirt, and a chance to attend ‘Celtic the Musical’ at the SEC Armadillo.

The latest prize draw will run from Thursday, February 16 to Wednesday, March 15 and offers a wonderful opportunity to win a signed Tomoki Iwata shirt.

Best of luck!
