With our annual Christmas Appeal now well underway, the support from the Celtic Family has been, as always, truly phenomenal. We now turn our attention to the organisations that will benefit from your generosity. Thanks to your incredible support, families, pensioners, the homeless community, refugees, as well as many others facing poverty and hardship will receive vital help through this year’s Appeal. The Foundation will also once again provide support to women and children in refuge, via three Women’s Aid charities in Glasgow, Dublin, Belfast and Lisburn. Christmas is typically a joyful time for many, but for those facing financial or emotional difficulties, the festive season can often be the hardest period of the year. The Women’s Aid organisations supported by our Appeal offer crucial help to women and families living with, or recovering from, the traumatic impact of domestic abuse, striving to keep them safe. For those experiencing abuse, Christmas can bring fear, uncertainty and isolation instead of peace and happiness. Thanks to the vital support these Women’s Aid charities provide, countless women and children will have the chance to experience a more positive festive season, and your donations to this year’s Christmas Appeal play an essential role in making that possible. These three organisations are very aware of the genuine difference that your generosity makes and we heard from each of them on the challenges their families face. Liz Johnstone of Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid spoke of their gratitude for those who’ve supported this year’s Appeal, saying: “The Foundation have been supporting Belfast and Lisburn Women’s Aid every Christmas for the many years and it means the world to us to have this continued support. Women and children experiencing domestic abuse in our community have had so much taken away from them and every year you give them a joyous Christmas with food on the table, heat in their homes and toys under the tree. When women receive the vouchers, many burst into tears finding it incredible that people in Scotland, whom they have never met, are offering them a lifeline. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and rest assured your support really changes lives for the better.” Nicole Woods of Glasgow Women’s Aid highlighted the importance of the contributions made, saying: “Celtic FC Foundation have been an incredible source of support to Glasgow Women’s Aid over the years. Their generosity has enabled us to support women and children within our service who might otherwise struggle during the festive period. We have provided women with vouchers ensuring they have access to warm meals, essentials like toiletries and moments of joy during what can be a very challenging time. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to the Foundation and to all supporters who have so kindly donated. We could not provide the level of care and comfort we offer during the festive season, without the backing of organisations like Celtic FC Foundation. Thank you and a very Merry Christmas.” Caoimhe O’Connor from Women’s Aid Dublin also spoke about the difference your donations make, saying: “The support provided by Celtic FC Foundation has truly made a difference in the lives of the women that we support. Christmas can be a very tough time for many women and often the abuse they are suffering is more frequent and more severe. With the additional expense that Christmas can bring can also be very challenging to cope with. Thanks to the generous support from Celtic FC Foundation, we have been able to provide vouchers to women at Christmastime, which they can use to purchase food, clothing, toys and household items. We, at Women’s Aid, would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Foundation and everyone who donates to the Christmas Appeal, for kindly supporting women and children in need across Dublin.” Our Christmas Appeal will touch thousands of lives this festive period and we now ask you, the completely unique and unsurpassable Celtic support, to stand with us and help make a positive difference for those who need it most.  This is a reminder of the phenomenal difference you made through the 2024 Appeal HERE   You can also get behind this year’s Christmas Appeal in the following ways:  Donate online HERE Donate via PayPal HERE Donate via Facebook HERE Donate by text – text ‘CELTIC’ followed by ‘£1’, ‘£5’ or ‘£10’ to 70085* Donate in Cash – there are collection boxes located in all Celtic Stores Donate by Cheque – payable to ‘Celtic FC Foundation’ and sent to Celtic FC Foundation, Celtic Park, Glasgow G40 3RE Provide support through your Christmas shopping in Celtic stores or online by purchasing an item from ‘Walfrid’s Wishlist’ HERE Purchase our Celtic FC Foundation Scarf HERE Provide support through your Christmas shopping via Give as you Live HERE Make a donation at check out when purchasing retail items or tickets online HERE and HERE Make a donation and hang an item on our Virtual Christmas Tree HERE Enter our Christmas Appeal Prize Draw HERE Contribute via our Christmas Appeal eBay Auction from December 3 – 10.
