Resolution 12 – all the facts and latest news

What is "Resolution 12" all about, and why should it matter to you?

In June 2011, Rangers (the dead one) owed £2.8 million in unpaid taxes to HMRC. According to UEFA rules, clubs are not allowed to take part in European competition if there is money overdue to their government. Despite this fact, the SFA allowed Rangers to keep their licence and play in the 2011/12 Champions League.

Clearly, this raises serious questions about the integrity of Scottish football, and a small number of supporters have been working hard to get answers from the SFA. Recently, however, their efforts have hit a wall – the SFA refuses to respond, and the Celtic board appear to be sitting on their hands.

So, what happens next? Many fear that allowing potential corruption to go unchecked will result in thousands of fans turning their back on Scottish football altogether. What has the SFA got to hide? Will Celtic sit back and do nothing, or will they act now for the long term good of the game?

Keep up to date with Resolution 12 as the story develops.
